2027 8th Grade BBQ BASH

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

On Wednesday, June 9, 2027, our 8th grade students will attend their end-of-year trip to Nansen Lodge. We hope this special day will create lasting memories that students will cherish for years to come.

Please note that participation in all upcoming 8th grade activities is contingent upon a student's behavior and overall academic standing. Factors that may affect a student's eligibility include attendance (minimum 90%), punctuality, class performance, behavior, effort, attitude, and grades. A conduct grade of N for any reason may result in exclusion from these events.

The cost of the trip is $45.00 per student. This fee includes:

DJ and music
Lunch
Ice cream
Donuts
Recreational activities

Payment and permission authorization for this trip can be completed through our school website, www.is27.org, under the School Store/Online Payments tab. Cash payments will not be accepted.

The deadline to register and submit payment is Friday, May 28, 2027.

No exceptions will be made for payments or registrations received after this date. Please also be advised that students will not be permitted to attend the senior trip if their senior dues have not been paid in full.

To help ensure that the trip is both enjoyable and safe for all students, please review the following information with your child and save this notice for future reference:

Buses will depart from Prall at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Buses will leave Nansen Lodge at 1:00 p.m.
Students will return to school in time for regular dismissal at 2:00 p.m.
Students are required to wear their Prall 2027 T-shirt for identification and safety purposes. Shirts may not be cut, altered, or modified in any way.
Students may bring games or a blanket to sit on while outdoors; however, these items are optional.
Students who choose not to attend, or who are excluded from participation, are expected to attend school on the day of the trip and will be provided with an alternative educational program.

a) I agree that in the event of an emergency injury or illness, the staff member(s) in charge of the trip may act on my behalf and at my expense in obtaining medical treatment for my child.

b) I understand that my child is expected to behave responsibly and to follow the school’s discipline code and policies.

c) I agree and understand that I am responsible for the actions of my child. I release the school from all claims and liability that arise in connection with the trip, except if due to the negligence of school officials.

d) I understand that I am responsible for getting my child to and from the departure and return sites identified above. I understand that my child shall be accompanied by staff member(s) during the trip, including while traveling from the departure site to the destination site, and from the destination site to the return site.
